Hello All 🙂
New member – Week 5 with my new (1973) GP14 on Lake Windermere.
Today, along with the usual newbie muppetry, the Jib Halyard Retrieval Line (4mm Dyneema) parted company from the Jib Halyard (Wire Rope) during hauling (down to mast pulley rather than highfield) – result, Dyneema in the cockpit/wire on the foredeck :/
So, once I’ve re-threaded, what’s the recommended method of re-attaching these two – from memory (and looking at the failure) I think the Dyneema was just looped through the wire and then whipped together.
Regards, Steve Gillam.
