Youth & Masters Championship at Welsh Harp

This year’s Youth and Masters events are combined to attract families who sail and ensure a good combined entry for both. The event will take place over the weekend of 16/17 July. With staggered starts and an extra race for the Youths this promises to be a good event for all.

One hundred and seventy hectares of open water, the Welsh Harp once provided a rural escape for Victorian Londoners, the lake now engulfed by the city still provides a welcome refuge from city life.

Near the junction of the M1 and the North Circular, the club is easily accessible. The water provides good inland sailing, not the Champagne sailing of the Caribbean, a fruity homebrew perhaps, shifty and unpredictable.

Two races for the masters on Saturday will leave them time to spectate from the clubhouse as the next generation sail their third race. Two races for everyone on Sunday.  There will be food and live music on Saturday evening, and there is accommodation available on site.
