I’ve just measured my Genoa – 2.2m approximately, so that makes it a full sized one. Good.
I’d go down to the pen & investigate the hoisted sail & track positioning this afternoon, but there’s a good F4 blowing 🙁
warsashodParticipantOLiver,
Thank you for this info. I’ll try & get down there to have a play & see . I’ve printed off the rules so will measure my genoa.
Many thanks
Jonathan
warsashodParticipantOliver,
I have just fund your gallery photos of this. One the metal tiller, the clamcleat as at the inboard end and the wooden one has it part way along. Any advantages/disadvantages of either position?
And any guidance on appropriate rope? I don’t know much about the ins & outs, especially for small control lines.
Thank you,
Jonathan
warsashodParticipanter, that second line came from where?
Apologies must have ctrl-v’d it somehow!
warsashodParticipantHi Mike,
Welcome aboard. Like you, I somehow suddenly acquired my GP14 – all a bit hazy.
and yours was an earlier one than mine so no guarantee that they would be in the same place.
warsashodParticipantOliver,
Thanks for this. I like the look of the auto-release clamcleat. Two separate lines makes more sense to me and I would colour code them.
I’m in the process of glueing a crack in the blade, so have an opportunity to fettle the pivot action.
Thank you for your time.
Jonathan
warsashodParticipantI know it’s an old thread, but please don’t only move to FB. Whilst I am reluctantly on FB, I also dislike it for a host or reasons. One of which is the fact that the search is pitiful and it is really hard to find any historical posts.
