      Here is some data taken from my Garmin GPS watch I use for running taken from a club weekend in New Quay, Wales this weekend. Force 5-7. Moderate Swell. Wind against tide.

      Upwind Range = 4.3 – 5.4 knots
      Downwind = 5.4 – 13.01 knots

      Here is the data – spot the capsize! –
