This seriously early boat,  described by the vendor as no. 494,  is now on the market;   she is stated to be complete with wooden spars,  and sails are described as excellent.   Hull is described as in poor condition.   She could possibly be a rewarding project boat for restoration.

Not one of my own boats,  but offered by a fellow member of my club,  and she she is early enough to perhaps be of interest to afficionados of our vintage boats.  Link here:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/dinghies/permalink/1152818308090946/?sale_post_id=1152818308090946

Please note that I am merely passing on the information,  because I feel that a boat this early should be restored and used,  not abandoned or scrapped.    I have not personally inspected her,  and in particular I have not validated her sail number.   Anyone interested must of course make their own checks.

The vendor tells me that this boat is still available,  offered at the same price that he paid for her as a project boat,  £100.

It would appear that a significant amount of work is needed to put her into good condition,  but for anyone interested in the origins of the class this is a fairly rare opportunity to acquire such an early boat,  which despite the need for work may even be in sailable condition.

But please note my caveats in my original post.   I am merely passing on the information,  in the hopes that she may be found a good home rather than being scrapped,  but I have not inspected her and any potential purchaser should make their own checks.
