For the third year in a row, thanks to generous sponsorship from EXE SAILS & COVERS LTD, we were able to offer a brand new GP14 genoa as the prize in a raffle, which was drawn at the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show on Sunday 5 March.

The proceeds of the raffle are destined to support the GP14 Youth Training Scheme, and almost 300 tickets were sold, raising over £500 for the cause.

As in previous years, the raffle was run as a VIRTUAL RAFFLE, with purchasers notified of their ticket numbers by email.

But the draw was done the old-fashioned way, by drawing tickets out of a spinnaker bag.

And the winner is …

Ticket number 60147, belonging to Adam Chaplin of Blackpool & Fleetwood Yacht Club.

When given the good news, Adam said he was delighted, as his genoa was old and needed replacing – he thought he had better buy a couple of tickets to support the Class, as his son Ralph was going to benefit from the youth training!

Many congratulations to Adam, and many thanks to all who supported this worthwhile cause by buying tickets.

We are very grateful to EXE SAILS & COVERS LTD for supporting the raffle with such a generous donation.
